How to Use
How to Use Your Remington Hair Straightener
Simple steps for smooth, sleek styling with care and confidence.

1. Prepare Your Hair
Always begin with clean, dry hair.
Use a heat protection spray if desired to help minimise heat damage.
Detangle your hair thoroughly using a wide-tooth comb or brush.

2. Plug In and Switch On
Plug your Remington straightener into a standard power outlet.
Press the power button to turn it on.
Adjust the temperature using the dial or digital controls (varies by model).
-Use lower settings (e.g. 150–180Β°C) for fine or damaged hair.
-Use higher settings (e.g. 200–230Β°C) for thick or coarse hair.
Allow the straightener to heat up fully β€” most Remington models are ready in 15 to 30 seconds (check LED indicator or screen if available).

3. Section Your Hair
Divide hair into small, manageable sections using clips.
Start at the bottom layers and work your way up.

4. Begin Straightening
Take a section about 4–5cm wide.
Place the hair between the plates, close gently, and glide slowly from root to tip.
Avoid pausing in one spot to prevent heat damage.
Repeat only if necessary to achieve desired smoothness.
For curls or waves, rotate the straightener as you glide through the hair.

5. Use Features as Needed
Floating plates: Help apply even pressure during styling.
Temperature lock: Use this (on supported models) to avoid accidentally changing the temperature while styling.
Boost function: Instantly raises heat for thicker sections or stubborn strands.
Automatic shut-off: Most models turn off after 60 minutes, but always unplug when done.

6. Finish and Cool Down
When styling is complete, press the power button to turn off.
Unplug from the wall socket.
Allow the straightener to cool fully before storing.
Use the plate lock (if included) to keep plates closed when not in use.

7. Maintenance Tips
Wipe the plates with a soft, damp cloth (when cool) to remove product build-up.
Store in a heat-resistant pouch or on a heat mat to protect surfaces.

Safety Tips:
Never use on wet hair unless your straightener is specifically designed for wet use (e.g. Wet 2 Straight models).
Avoid touching the plates during use.
Do not leave the straightener unattended when switched on.
Keep away from water and out of reach of children.
